My interest is in evolution and phylogeny including the theoretical aspects of sequence data analysis, such as character-weighting, alignment and homology-related issues. I am also interested in the natural history and secondary sexual characters of sepsid flies.
My primary research interest is studying the phylogeny and evolution of sepsid flies, with a particular emphasis on the evolution of sexually dimorphic characters, as well as analyzing the chemical compounds present in the defensive glands of sepsid flies.
