Assoc. Prof. Rudolf Meier, Department of Biological Sciences has been invited as this year’s Griswold lecturer to the Department of Entomology of Cornell University. He will present two seminars on his research on the conservation biology, evolution, and DNA taxonomy of Diptera on 1 and 2 December 2003. His research is part of an international research initiative on the evolution of Diptera that has recently been awarded a 5-year, S$4.2 million grant by the US National Science Foundation.
